Our client, a reputable Group of Companies, is looking for an experienced procurement Officer/Buyer to be based in Dar es Salaam.
Responsibilities:
•To procure materials and subcontract in timely manner within approved budgeted cost.
•Negotiate pricing contracts with suppliers
•Issue purchase orders for procurement and expedition of materials and equipment for the business
•Establish new relationships with suppliers to ensure adequate resources
Leverage technology, safety measures, and information sharing to increase productivity and profitability
•Assist in settling invoice or contract disputes
Forecast upcoming demand
Qualification:
•Degree in Procurement
•Excellent computer skills especially Exel and Outlook.
•Very fluent in English.
•Procurement/Buyer experience in construction,
•Good knowledge of SAP system.
